Every December 5, families, clinicians, researchers, and advocates around the world come together to shine a light on a shared mission: changing the future for children with neuroblastoma. This year, Shir for Life is proud to announce the second observance of International Neuroblastoma Awareness Day, #NeuroblastomaDay 2025, under the unifying theme “Together We Can.”
A Growing Global Movement
Established by Shir for Life in 2024, the single day of awareness has evolved into a worldwide campaign for collaboration and progress. More than 20 official partner organizations around the world will participate this year, hosting local events, sharing educational materials, and joining the live global broadcast. Together, these organizations represent a unified international effort to raise awareness, accelerate discovery, and ensure every child and family feels supported.
“International Neuroblastoma Day reminds us that progress doesn’t happen in isolation,” said Einat Dado Baralia, Founder of Shir for Life and Shir’s mother. “When researchers, clinicians, and families join forces across borders, we create real momentum — and real hope — for children everywhere.”
“At Solving Kids’ Cancer, our mission is built on collaboration and action — two things this global day embodies perfectly,” said Gail Jackson, Chief Executive of Solving Kids’ Cancer UK. “Working together across continents accelerates research and brings us closer to the breakthroughs children urgently need.”
Priscilla Ma, Executive Director of Band of Parents, added: “For parents, scientists, and clinicians alike, International Neuroblastoma Day represents something powerful — a reminder that we’re not working in silos but as one global community fighting for every child.”
The 2nd Annual International Neuroblastoma Summit: Breaking Boundaries in Research
At the heart of this year’s observance is the special 2-hour live broadcast — the 2nd Annual International Neuroblastoma Summit, a landmark event uniting the heads of the world’s major neuroblastoma research organizations with clinicians and advocates for a conversation on innovation and impact.
