Last week in Tel Aviv, something remarkable happened. Shir for Life hosted its 3rd Annual Parent Conference, bringing together families, doctors, researchers, and advocates for a powerful day of learning, support, and solidarity.

This event was created for parents of children with neuroblastoma—to offer not just the latest in treatment updates, but also the space to connect with others who truly understand the journey.

What We Covered

Medical Updates: We heard from leading experts on emerging treatments and family-centered support:

  • Dr. Giselle Sholler shared updates on DFMO and the promise of maintenance therapy. Watch her session here.

  • Dr. Shifra Ash presented an overview of current and upcoming treatment protocols. Watch her session here.

  • Dr. Iris Fried introduced advances in liquid biopsy, offering new ways to detect and monitor disease. Watch Dr. Fried's session here.

  • Prof. Dalit Modan and Dr. Dalia Waldman spoke about living with neuroblastoma, recovery and side affects.

  • Maya Yardeni led powerful discussions on emotional wellness, caregiving, and how families can navigate the heavy emotional toll of this diagnosis.

Roundtables & Peer Connection: Perhaps most meaningful of all were the conversations between parents—sharing stories, exchanging resources, and reminding one another that they are not alone.

Moving Forward Together

We're incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this day possible—especially the families who showed up, spoke up, and reminded us why we do this work.

Every question asked, every insight shared, and every moment of connection brought us closer to our mission: to ensure better outcomes—and better lives—for children with neuroblastoma.
